Request To Change “USC” Email Name
Request To Change “USC” Email Name
There are only a few circumstances where you can request to have your username changed. They are:
- You’ve had your name legally changed, and you can provide documentation (driver’s license, passport, USCard) as evidence.
- Your first or last name was misspelled at the time we created the login, and that misspelling has been reflected in the login.
- If you have accounts on multiple hosts administrated by ITS, you can request to have a login changed to match one of your other logins. Please note that the system cannot share password files for this type of change to be possible.
If any of the above conditions are satisfied then,
- If customer is either a USC staff or faculty, they may contact the authorized signer for their department listed at: http://itservices.usc.edu/accounts/authsignerservices/
- If the customer is a student, they need to send an email to accounts@usc.edu only after verifying that their new/updated name reflects in the University Registrar’s system.
If you have further questions, please reply to auxsupport@usc.edu or call the Service Desk at ext 11911.
The Customer Support Center number for ITS is (213) 740-5555.
